Dokokade? Genbi
Traveling Display of Fernando Botero 《Littele Bird》
As part of the "Dokokade? Genbi" exhibition series, one of the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art's collections, Fernando Botero's "Little Bird," will be displayed in the entrance lobby of the Hiroshima Prefectural Museum of Art. Born in Colombia, South America, Botero (1932- ) traveled to Europe at age 20 and learned a lot from classical works. Eventually, he discovered a way to draw objects in a voluminous form and established his artistic style. Since the 1970s, he has started creating sculptures and produced many adorable animals and people like "Little Bird."
