With the cooperation of ericca, a Hiroshima-based candle artist and illustrator, we are hosting a special POP-UP event featuring beeswax candles, which are also available at our museum shop “339.”

Beeswax candles are made, as their name suggests, from natural wax collected from honeybees, and when lit, they give off a gentle, honey-like sweetness. Many of the candles created by ericca use precious beeswax harvested in Hiroshima. At the “339” counter, we will introduce both the process of collecting beeswax locally and how it is transformed into candles.

To further share ericca’s creative theme, “Warming Light for Our Beloved World,” the event will also feature her soft, heartwarming illustrations.
During the exhibition, candle-making workshops will also be held!
