Collection Highlights

2020.12.1(Tue) — 12.27(Sun)

For approximately one month prior to the two-year closure for renovation, we show selected works. The exhibition introduces a group of works that deal with the theme of peace as it relates to Hiroshima. As a museum located in Hiroshima, an atomic-bombed city, one of the pillars of our collection is works that expresses the relationship between this history and contemporary art. It will be interesting to see how subjects such as the disastrous events and subsequent rejuvenation of Hiroshima, and the desire for peace are manifested in the works in this exhibit, which marks the 75th anniversary of the bombing.
