Tsukanoma Terrace (temporal terrace) is a temporal public space in the city center. Kamihachi Kiteru manages the place -URBAN TRANSIT HUB- as their social experimentation project. The museum has created a big table and chair with the workshop participants and conducted other workshop programs.
Tsukanoma Terrace is open to the public until the end of October. Furthermore, various events organized by Kamihachi Kiteru will occur starting in September. Please see the details on the Kamihachi Kiteru website.

2m26 (Mélanie Heresbach and Sébastien Renauld)

2m26 was founded in 2015 by Mélanie Heresbach and Sébastien Renauld, an architect and artist, and are currently based in Kyoto. They design furniture and architecture based on the idea of modulor originally developed by Le Corbusier. Going beyond the field of design, they explore various approaches relating to the city through performances and workshops. They conduct furniture workshops based on their interest in creating communication using furniture as a tool. Their recent works include “SAIKODAYO” (Shizuoka, 2017), “Alternative Space Core” (Hiroshima, 2017), “2m26 Kyoto House” (Kyoto, 2020). Their major performance works include “TOKYO CROSSING” (Tokyo, 2015).

About Kamihachi Kiteru -HEART OF HIROSHIMA-

Kamihachi Kiteru is an urban development platform founded by various public and private entities. The organization conducts projects such as “Kamihachi Kiteru -URBAN TRANSIT BAY-“ (2020) and “Kamihachi Kiteru -MOTOMACHI CRED URBAN TERRACE-“ (2021) as an experiment for the people to experience public space created for the people and reflect the result to the future management project. The organization has received the Good Design Award in 2020 and SDA Award 2020.
