This workshop allows participants to experience the origins of paint and the diversity of materials through painting with stones and other natural materials found in our daily lives. In the past, paints were made from natural materials such as minerals, soil, and plants, and are characterized by their simple and deep colors that are not found in the chemical pigments that are mainstream today. In this workshop, participants will grind natural materials into a powder and mix it with animal-derived glue to make paints for painting.
