Program related to the Open Program My Hijiyama Notes: Island, Mountain, Hill, and Sometimes Cats. Together with artist Inoue Hisako, who collects smells and memories, participants will explore Hijiyama and the museum to gather “the smells of Hijiyama.” Some of the collected smells will be introduced as part of the exhibition.

Inoue Hisako
Inoue organizes “KunKun Walks,” which explore environment, culture, and history through olfactory memory, in a wide range of settings both in Japan and internationally, including educational institutions, museums, libraries, botanical gardens, companies, parks, and airports. A recent solo exhibition is — Life is Smell project — KUNKUN Laboratory (2025, Chiba City Museum of Art).
